Updates to Garage
The City of Dayton is beginning the second phase of master plan improvements for the Oregon Parking Garage. In the short term, guests can expect to see new and expanded interior and exterior wayfinding signage, enhanced security surveillance system, and a parking space occupancy system. This system will show available parking spaces for each level with displays at the entrances and at each level.
Improvements to the overhead skywalk spanning South Jefferson Street will include paint and the installation of carpet.
Separately, a $2.5m construction project will begin that will include the following:
Structural concrete repairs
Expansion joint and joint sealant replacement
New traffic bearing waterproofing membrane on exposed floor slabs (similar to what is installed on the roof and helical ramps)
Clean and coat the elevator window curtain framing
Replacing rusted and corroded roof drain piping
Removal of unused neon signage from elevator lobby
Exterior painting of selected concrete surfaces
Painting of stair tower and elevator core walls
Replacement of stair tower doors
Painting of concrete soffits
